A rounded red velvet shell, from base to backrest
The Adèle chair reads as a single shape. The wraparound back flares slightly toward the top, the arms stay low and blend into the shell, and the round seat sits on a cylindrical base covered in the same velvet, resting on small black feet. The red stays true in daylight and turns warmer under stage lighting or the glow of table lamps. At 55 cm wide, it takes up little floor space: you can group three or four around a round table and still keep a walkway clear. The back rises to 85 cm, high enough to lean against without blocking the view of a stage or dance floor.
Where to place these chairs during an evening event
They are often set out in numbers in a reception room styled as a cabaret lounge, facing a stage with a piano and drum kit. The most common layout stays simple: two or three chairs per table, a marbled tabletop with gold brass trim on a black cast iron base, and a small lamp in the center. Other pedestal tables work the same way. Round poufs in the same velvet add seats without crowding the room, and a red tufted sofa closes off the back of the space. In a lighter setting, white tablecloths and large green palms tone down the red. You will also find them in the lounge corner of a cocktail reception near the bar, and at year-end corporate parties.
Planning the lounge with the 126 Events team
How many chairs per table, how many poufs to fill in, what table height to plan for a 48 cm seat? The Location Mobilier Paris team works through these questions with you before booking, based on the venue floor plan and guest count. They also help you balance the red against the existing decor (wood paneling, parquet floors or light walls) and choose matching pieces from more than 10,000 items. A quote request is all it takes to get started.
